Rory McIlroy Wins the 89th Masters!

🏌‍♂️ With his win at Augusta National Golf Club, Rory has completed golfing's illustrious Career Grand Slam - a win at all four major championships: the Masters, the PGA Championship, the US Open, and the British Open. McIlroy becomes only the 6th golfer ever to accomplish this feat. This was also his first Major victory since 2014, which further cements the magnitude of this year's thrilling Masters.

⛳ The purse rose to $21m, which meant McIlroy took home $4.2m along with his green jacket and miniature clubhouse trophy. His career earnings rose to over $104m, second only to the legendary Tiger Woods! The next three runner-ups all received over $1m from the purse.

🤔 What's next for Rory? Now that he has established himself into the upper echelon of golfers, the world is watching to what business ventures McIlroy will enter. He already has co-founded the TGL with Woods and has deals with Nike and TaylorMade Golf Company. Many other major golfers have their own courses or merchandise lines.
